Chris is going to archive the forum and upload it for all to download, Hell yeah ! And nice archive F2bnp!
That's awesome of Chris. I know it's unfortunate (for those interested in Xtreme anyway) that Chris is hanging it up, but it's probably for the best he closes the book on Xtreme once and for all to move on to greener pastures. Still, we've gotten a world and beyond of information about this game and can at least chronicle the development and the hardships the staff endured.
Well I'm glad Chris is helping with the archival effort, I hate seeing internet history just vanish Senntient was a big part of Sonic History afterall. So what happens to the members of Senntient now? where are they gonna go?
I don't get it, I thought that Chris Senn said that he was going to have senntient forums backed up and running on a server in closed mode, but the link now just directs to the main site. did he change his mind and just purged the forum anyways?
I have the back up, although its not a complete back up in the sense that we all would have thought. It's only the forums portion of the website and only the Sonic x-treme sections at that. However including the full older version forums. I'm going to try and see if I can get other sections as well like the fan gaming sections for example. I contacted S-Sun in regards to hosting the forums here on retro but she hasn't gotten back to me on that yet. So Together with Xeniczone, we will be hosting them over on the Sonic X-treme AXSX Webpage and forums in the near future.
Do we actually have a working archive? Archive.org literally has nothing and I wanted to reference something.
There's the Common Crawl project that appears to have some captured pages if this search on ChatNoir is any indication, but trying to visit the cached versions of them appears to not work, at least for me. I'm not familiar enough with the Senntient website to be able to tell how much Common Crawl captured of it
