SegaWorld Sonic Puppet Show info I found

Tails and Robotnik look great, Grounder looks... different to say the least, Sonic looks awful as usual and Sally looks horrifying. A bit weird that they used AOSTH Robotnik and Sally (or was AOSTH Robotnik ever used in Archie?). Probably because the SatAM Robotnik was too much for kids and Sally as a girl would even the cast.

There's one in Southampton as well actually (or there was, at least. It was looking pretty run down when I visited it, and that was in 2003. May well be gone entirely now)

I lived in Southampton for years, it's actually where I originate from, and I can't remember seeing one, was it in Ocean Village or somewhere like the Bar Gate, places like that did get neglected, especially once that eye sore of a shopping centre, West Quay was built.

EDIT: Yep, in the Bar Gate shopping centre which fell into serious decline once West Quay was built around 2001.

I just want to find out who's marvelous idea it was to give Sally human hands. That was uncalled for and/or was just made that way out of pure laziness.

Sally does have "human" hands in all official material, the problem is that they're supposed to be the same color as the rest of her body. The puppet's hands are a flesh-tone and stand out too much.

That Sega arcade in Bournemouth was called SegaPark. It's still there, but it's not really a Sega Park anymore...

Wow. what a find! this should be wiki'd or something to perserve it.

Anyways, this soundtrack, what does it sound like? anything close to the games or more AOSTH-like tracks?

I also wonder what this Alexis Nagy sounds like as sonic. probably tried to copy Jaleel White too much by my guess.

We do. GameWorks, or as I like to call it, "Mini SegaWorld".
Granted, it's not as big or spectacular as SegaWorld, but it is owned by Sega, and between the lighting and the occasional Sonic-related thing here and there, it does have a SegaWorld vibe to it. There aren't really any "rides", but most of them do have some cool VR simulators. And there's more Sega arcade games than you can shake a stick at. Go on Thursday evening to play all the Sega games you want for $10! Going to an arcade without worrying about money is pure bliss.

I wish they would expand back to my area. Use to have one at Great Lakes Crossing until they closed down.

Talk about nightmare inducing. I own the Sonic in Syndey CD and this is not what I envisioned when I heard it was a stage show. Whats with the poorly designed characters with creepy human appendages? Just wow, another piece of Sonic history tarnished.

Wow. If I was a kid living in Australia when this happened this would have been the coolest thing ever to me right then, as I loved puppet shows and loved Sonic. Incredible find, a piece of Sonic history unlike any other! Hope you don't mind me blogging about this over at Sega Memories, will link back to here and credit or course, this just has to be seen by more people! :D
