There's also the UK show Dead Pixels. First episode mentions Outrun. Beginning of 2nd episode mentions Total War. In Big Bang Theory, Sheldon mentions someone stole his copy of Mario and Sonic. Eastenders Go to 3:30 Fresh Prince

@Deathscythe Please don't quadruple-post. The edit button exists, use it - especially if your previous post was barely hours old.
Sorry my bad, just wanted to make sure the editors of Sega Retro were noticing there were new entries: Speaking of, in the Ultra Sheen episode of Jimmy Neutron: @cartridgeculture got some updates! @Deathscythe thank you! You've been a big source for the References page, and I especially appreciate both the images and the dates. Please keep up the excellent work
No problem! Glad I can contribute. A US fast food company, ironically called Sonic Drive-In, did an Outrun themed commercial once: Billy Madison: Blackpink - Whistle song: Dreamcast at 0:17 Redman shows off his Dreamcast 1:00-2:00 on MTV Cribs
Lewis Hamilton playing Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II. Oops, didn't post the link; https://twitter.com/ESPNF1/status/1537541661252780032 Maybe we'll see this in the F1 pre-race show on Sunday, or maybe he's just doing his own thing.
If we're doing random clips of celebrities playing Sonic, how about Kanye West playing Sonic? Additionaly, what about all the promotoing of the Sonic film? For example, Good Morning America and the The Graham Norton Show featured Jim Carrey promoting the film.
So with the celebrities stuff, it'll get posted if its been "published somewhere significant". Meaning mostly TV/Movies and not web. Generally. If its from a web show, or a video published to YouTube, then probably, but we'd really prefer the reference being associated with a "published, branded thing." So them on Cribs, yes. Them in a Twitter video, probably not. As for the "media appearances in promotion of a Sega product", I generally don't include those, as they're direct promotions and belong on that products' page. For the most part. And yes, that means a number of older entries on References need to be moved to respective articles (like the Dreamcast on Rosie O'Donnell or those kids touring SoA for a Nick show). I just haven't had a chance to do them yet.
Hi Score Girl in general is pretty fantastic for not just old-school Sega references, but gaming from that era in general since it all revolves around a preteen boy who loves video games, mainly fighting games. The dub is also kind of funny in that it uses localized names for just about anything that got a US release, which often puts the visuals at odds with the dialogue, as well as some mix-and-match scenarios (talking about the NES and Famicom Disk System in the same sentence, for example).
So the Isekai Ojisan anime started yesterday and wow does it deliver with the obscure Sega references. Never would I have imagined to be watching TV in 2022 and have a character describe the story arch of 'Seven Force' Kaede with the music from Alien Soldier playing in the background: https://twitter.com/MegaDriveShock/status/1544953154600841217 I mean, just watch the beginning of the OP and have a heart attack if you're a Sega Saturn fan
Yakuza in Fairly Odd Parents: https://www.reddit.com/r/yakuzagames/comments/89be9z/kiryu_and_haruka_in_the_fairly_odd_parents/ Not only do I already have it on there. I cited every single reference in the OP :D
