Hi again folks. Just wanted to let you know that VectorMan is now available on both iOS and Android now. On top of this, I've put together an interview with Rich Karpp, the creator, coder, and designer of VectorMan. Shout out to Rlan for helping us with a lot of the artwork for the article. If you'd like to see more of these, please show your support by sharing the article or commenting on it (as I really enjoy putting these together, but need to show people are reading them to be able to make more). Ooh look, we completely remade the VectorMan cover artwork too: Download: iOS / Android iOS (Worldwide) [redeem from the App Store] LJXA4W3NLM3X YMNJT6LYT4RN NFP3YXPP96E9 LANW6RJLWKM6 TRJ4FKATK3MT KWMW3HLXKTAP 6NK9X3PEYPTK R79TWWAEEHWR FYPMHLXFAWHX JK7FL3XY3E36 EKWLYNRTAAP9 YW7TJLP3REMP APNHR9FML7EY E7R37RLLAL3W WXXJLAL3MEWF Android (Worldwide) [redeem by tapping the drop-down in the purchase dialogue here, then redeem here] XF8WX83S6GYUFRNG7EWT92Z HN633L9GP0EPB2VGWKRUWN0 R98XJ85ECT7NGLRGTNDL0TU KJGLQG41VXPUCWBKTF3L3HL BZVA62SE8Q8H7QQB69TYKF8 EGLJ2BM4UP3Y6CKJ6KBF8BX ZDJZLL77EWJ4F41U6AH483X LA8V2D5RPLQ4YKNZWL1C0CY MCMPZPWZYEC1DATSYK7HUY7 BTYYGS2WN18GX00J8HDY5TN Please say if you've taken a code to save everyone else's time! :v: I'm here as I'm always happy to relay constructive criticism to help the team make these releases the best they can be. Apologies if I don't reply too quickly on here, but I will always respond to feedback and suggestions sent to the SEGA Forever Facebook channel via the "Message" option. If you're having any technical difficulties, we'd really appreciate a heads up via [email protected] detailing the device and firmware you're using. We endeavour to fix any issues with the title, but we need your feedback to help each title be the best it can be! Cheers!
I used iOS code AERHT3KT4E7R. Thank you. I left a comment on the article, but can like it for some reason as it doesn't seem to want to allow me to login with Facebook. I'll share it later when I'm at home. Appreciate you doing this! Still waiting on Sonic CD top be made payable on iPhone X though. It's got a nasty graphical glitch in the first level (and possibly others) that renders it unplayable about 20 seconds in.
Even though I used the code, I'm still getting non Sega ads in the game and can't restore purchases. Why is that?
Apologies folks, I've realised that the iOS codes are early access codes rather than IAP removal codes. I've just replaced them, so please have at them (again)! I took E7R37RLLAL3W for iOS. If I find any bugs I'll edit my post here. Thanks! Edit1: Game lags a whole lot on my iPhone 5s... I don't have any other devices I can test this on. Not exactly playable. Edit2: Almost all the lag went away after a couple of minutes of playing the game. I guess this may be normal and I didn't know since I've never played any of these SEGA FOREVER titles before...
Sorted. I used iOS code WXXJLAL3MEWF this time. Thanks again. After about ten minutes of playing, my chief complaint with be the in screen controls. Personally, I dislike that d-pad it fixed to wherever you set it, meaning that you have to precisely press the left button to move left, or down to crouch. A better system on virtually any touch screen platformer is to have your initial finger press register on the left half of the screen as centre/neutral, and dragging it from that position will change the input accordingly. It requires less precision. Any time you lift your finger, the positioning of the on screen control will reset. This is just a general criticism. So far on iPhone X, the game is running very well. No hiccups yet.
Thank you once again for the free codes! Not used any myself as I have the cart... and I suspect they're all used by now anyway =P
I will also point out that Rlan is one of the best humans. I also have a proper Vectorman cartridge, though it is worth noting that it's totally unoptimised for PAL regions, so like the original Sonic the Hedgehog, 60Hz is the way to go. (It's like I've been looking into this subject for weeks or something.)
Thanks so much caffeinedreamer! Your presence here and interaction with the community is fucking awesome and much-appreciated. The constant codes are also a very kind gesture. Just downloaded Vectorman. I have so many Sega games on there it's like a "Sega phone" now. There's something effortlessly cool about having Sega's legacy library free on mobile so though it isn't perfect just yet I still strongly believe in the Sega Forever concept and initiative which at its heart is fantastic. It's such a fucking awesome idea and I look forward to it evolving over time as functionality and performance improves and more games are added. All I'd say is that I hope Sega are listening to the feedback here (and elsewhere) because Sega Forever has so much potential that isn't being fully realised just yet. That said I know the team is working hard and the concept remains one of the best ideas Sega has ever had. I also hope it expands to more platforms someday.
Just this second redeemed LJXA4W3NLM3X =P Will post some impressions later. Happy to try it. Thanks so much for sharing.
