Came across this in my travels (accidentally I might add... came up while I was searching for Shenmue II of all games) http://s1.cdcovers.cc/50e624a6578504e6e3c6...cc%5D-front.jpg "How interesting", I said, "somebody's left a web address on a Russian pirate dreamcast game". This one, even. But after doing a bit of research I came to a strange conclusion. From the sounds of things, Russia never had a "legal" distributor of Dreamcast games, just this team (and maybe others) who set themselves the task of translating all new DC (and PS1/PS2/Xbox releases) for a Russian audience. I had a look on a Russian auction site and among all the NTSC-U and PAL imports, I discovered the library is actually quite big... and some of them are fairly professional. Some of them aren't though, hence the Gamespot watermarks on the scan I just posted. But I'm not too sure what Sega Retro's stance on this sort of thing is. There's obviously not that many cover scans by this group out there but it was (until 2005/2006) the main provider of Dreamcast games in that region. Should I be bothering with these or just throwing them aside with all the custom-made covers and fakes?
I've seen these before (and in fact have a torrent full of them) but honestly not sure how I feel about 'em. They sit in some weird grey market area.
