Okay, well, I have an odd request or two... My hack is like an 'elseworlds' Sonic 1, where things are very similar to the original, generally, but with definite differences - a Red Sonic for one thing, heh, and his name is Cinos.

If you need the midis, PM me, but I'd like a version of Big Shot XL from Fatal Fury Wild Ambition, and Stronger, Evil Ryu's theme from Street Fighter Ex Plus Alpha, please? If they're too complex, just say so and I'll request something else.

Sorry Roxharis. That was just a general enquiry. I do have a playlist in mind of the tunes from S3K and S3D. The reason I didn't include them was because I wanted my asking to come across like a polite request, not an overload of demands.

If you are intereted though. These were the inital music choices I had in mind for S2 replacements before exploring other games. Not sure what your opinions are of them though. Any one would help I guess. However, like I said if layout and pallette hacks aren't interesting enough I completely understand if you wish to pursue hacks with higher ideals.

Like I said. Thats why I didn't want to ask. I'm not asking for everything. I actually have no idea how difficult it is to convert these into a format for S2. Its just my idea for what might suit the zones.

 

Well it shouldn't be too hard... As long as you have the Sonic 1 Sound Driver in Sonic 2...

 

Hmm...I don't currently. Is there an easy way to implement it? Also, just out of curiosity why would it be neccessary?

Because porting music to Sonic 2 Driver is a pain... That is why hacks like: Sonic 2 Megamix and Sonic 2: Advanced Edit have the Sonic 1 Sound driver... Because it's as easy as changing music in Sonic 1...

 

Sorry about that roxahris, I was just trying to get some of them off your hands... Since it was a shit load... And because I have them ready mostly all of them... I did those ports a long time ago...

 

More info about Cinos? Well... to be honest, I haven't got much more. It's not really fan character based, I told you pretty much the whole deal about it there in the fact that it's a parallel universe-style Sonic the Hedgehog with similar themed levels with new colors and subtly altered layouts [although I plan to create some new levels once I get my head around decent tile editings.] When I get anything more to tell you, you'll be seeing a thread about it.lol :v:

Thank you for taking a crack at Big Shot XL though. =) It's alright about Stronger, I know some songs may be more complex to sound good through the Sonic 1 driver. I'm looking forward to hearing your work.
