Roger Craig Smith and Kate Higgins are the new Sonic and Tails VAs

Maybe they can get Eric Vale to reprise his role as Trunks, instead of giving us a shitty knock off.

Edit: So this isn't completely off topic, I'm looking forward to hearing the new voices very much.

 

Wow, listening to Roger Craig Smith's voice reel, I can definitely see him doing well as sonic. His voice seems really versatile. Kate Higgin's reel shows promise as well. I can't wait to see the other actors selected, if the choices were all this good.

 

Sonic and Chris Redfield now share th same voice actor, hmm interesting

Honestly, I'm not convinced by Roger Craig Smith yet as I was OK with the previous voice actor but however Kate Higgins is doing a very good job, exactly what I would expect from Tails

Seems relevant to me, given the endless bitchfitting about how horrible voices in Sonic games are, how Sonic should be silent, how it'd be better if it were text-based, blah, blah, blah...

Nope, instead they're just getting some actors with talent. Which is the way I prefer it, personally. Imagine how much more epic Mario Galaxy's ending would have been if they'd done that instead of using those lame-ass subtitles. :v:

I guess the only real mystery now is where, when, and how many times Wendee Lee will show up...

Umm, so Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Vagrant Story director Yasumi Matsuno is doing Sonic Colors' story? Nice.

I'm just glad the voice actor for tails has been replaced. I couldn't stand his voice. (Which is bad with the embarrassing dialogue that usually went with it)
Griffith, though, I was starting to get used to. I'm indifferent to him getting replaced.

 

Sure, and Vic Mignogna would be a decent Silver. (Or Sonic, but we already have a Sonic.)

 

Do you know what this means? A voice actor for Jet that doesn't make me want to punch a baby! All I hope is that the new actor tries something new for Jet rather than copying Griffith, that voice doesn't deserve to be copied D:

 

Tails being replaced is what was most important for me. I couldn't stand him. Next up, I want to hear Charmy, Omega (since 06 really), Rouge and Knuckles. Silver being replaced though... I'll hold out hope that his voice remains the same. He was brilliant when he wasn't saying THAT TORNAAAAAYYYYYYYDO.

But anyhow, I honestly think that Blaze's voice wasn't that bad either. She wasn't high pitched and annoying like most of the other girl characters (some of the guys as well).

 

Need to actually hear what their voices sound like in-character before I form an opinion on the new two, but glad Mike stayed on.

 

Plus she had no real direct comparison, hasent only one person done Blaze, so default - best

 

That's true, but I'm comparing her to the other characters' voices. She sounds better than Cream, Amy, Tails, and Rouge, in my opinion.

Sooo, that was the "franchise changing" announcement then was it?

 

This isn't franchise changing news, but it's making want to go outside and scream "BAW!"

From the start, I've liked Jason and other 4Kids actors. I liked the sound of their voices, and in SU and Next Gen, they were definitely getting better. Can't quite understand the change... I'm almost afraid to even put Colors on my Christmas list now. -__-

 

Whats the worst that can happen? Eggman is the same, and all Sonic could do is sound like Chris Redfield, how is that a bad thing? lol
