It's hard to keep the SYZ boss from flickering just because it uses several objects and S2's object handling system isn't the most advanced.

The MZ boss already requires no actual skill - unless you're TASing, it's just a matter of jump at it, hope you don't get hit, and if you do get your rings back, until you get down to 2 or 3 orbs, where it actually becomes possible to dodge the buggers.

Unless you guys all have ridiculously good timing or something.

No, there is a way to hit it without getting hurt, everytime.

    Metropolis is hard?

Shit, I didn't even have to move in that fight until the last hit.

Metropolis Zone is nothing compared to the horror of the Wing Fortress boss.

  6. They all have tricks to beat them easily. Wing Fortress I just stay on the sides since some of the spikes won't touch me and others you only have to jump to avoid them, then wait for the laser and beat it up. MZ boss only needs timing Hayate, try fighting him a couple of times and you'll see you'll develop that timing easily, wait at the left side of the boss and hit him when the orbs are spinning in the right direction.

The only boss that's most annoying for me is the LZ Boss, the water busts my timed jumps when it rises and if I get hit in some spots I just see Sonic falling a lot and he won't survive because he'll drown.

The only file in there comes up in notepad with lots of (what seems like) programming commands.

You may need and emulator. If you want, I can call my friend Edwin to see if I can direct you to a good one.

Ah okay, thanks, that'd be great. Excuse my incompetence, I'm not exactly "tech-savvy".

Cool game. I've played it once so far, but didn't do more than a couple bosses... I'll get around to playing it the whole way through later. But I find this a really great concept for game -- seeing as how the bosses are my 2nd favorite part about Sonic games, the gameplay of Sonic games in general being my favorite -- and am pleased that it was actually implemented into a hack, I.e. this hack (of course.) My younger brother (who is 4 & 1/2 yrs. old) loves it too. I told him about it 5 days ago and said to him only yesterday that if he behaved himself I would play Robotnik's Revenge and let him watch, to which he replied, "Is that the one with all the bosses from both of them?" I was surprised his memory was so good that, even though I told him about the game only once and said its name only once, he remembered instantly what I was talking about upon my mentioning its name, when I didn't even expect him to. Anyway, maybe I'm going a bit too off-topic here. In any event, he likes it too and will love it when he sees it in action later today.

Just a suggestion for a future release: 2-player mode. I'm not talking about the regular old 1.5-player mode with Tails following Sonic, I'm talking about a horizontal split-screen 2P Mode. Whether you make it competitive or not, I don't really care. Though if it's cooperative I would suggest giving each boss a few more hits and/or making it so you have to beat the game more quickly to get the same rank you would get for taking longer on 1P Mode, if you know what I mean. But I can imagine how difficult this would be, and totally understand any reluctance on your part to even begin to conceive trying to implement that.

  14. You need a MegaDrive emulator to play it, I'd personally recommend Kega Fusion. There are lots of others as well though, you can check them out at Category:Mega Drive Emulators.

Actually, I find the WFZ bios pretty easy with a little practice - you are invulnerable to all but the laser if you stand in a corner.

Casino Night has been the killer of many runs, mostly because attempting to rush it is an exercise in death.

    being an asshole =P
Take into mind it's very easy to miss one of those jumps. And I just noticed that when falling I could just bounce on the blue bumper... *facepalms*

  20. I tend to just try and keep bouncing off the blue bumper to hit him, does the job much quicker IMHO, but is pretty easy to screw up. :(

Easiest boss is probably CPZ, you literally just have to jump half a second before he appears then just keep bouncing off him, same with the HTZ boss. Job done in less than four seconds.
