    Hey, another AM3 Sonic.
One thing that immediate jumps out to me is Sonic's render on the first page.
I wonder if Uekawa used that one drawing as reference for his concept art?

Seems like it's a pose that they reference a lot.

And here's a pencil case that I also scanned.

Link to scans. Seems that artwork for Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles come from that SegaSonic style guide someone here was looking for.

I did some color correction on the artwork to bring it more in line with the colors used on Adventure's artwork (because why not?)

Old Sonic toys are technically rare Sonic art, of a 3d kind. I think people should start trying to archive them by 3d scanning what it's possible to 3d scan. Like, for example, MrTalida's KeshiCorner project or Wesk's 3d scans of gaming hardware.

    This could be us.

Yes, this is a suggestion with no contribution or offer. Actually, the suggestion is an offer. You get a great idea and I'm giving you it for free. 3d scanning tech and accessories not included.

So today is the anniversary of Sonic Labyrinth's release. Was looking up the artwork from the game, and remembered the US / JP box artwork I had uploaded to SonicRetro:

Thing is.. I don't remember where I got it from in the first place. The Japanese cover and manual has the logo on it. So where the hell did I extract this art from?

The S&K Collection disk perhaps? I don't even know where any of mines are anymore so I can't check (and I'd be a fool to open another browser tab at this moment), but I could've sworn some unmarked Japanese box art was included for the screensaver or something. I could be thinking of something else though. I thought the GHZ website had some of this art available as well. But again, could be total misremember..ment on my part.

Nah, not the S&K Collection. The Labyrinth box art has not appeared in any official capacity in any re-releases.

My recollection was that it was from a magazine somewhere - possibly a Japanese one, or some Labyrinth preview. But which one? no idea.

Put some pants on dammit. It's one thing to be riding on a plane around your friends with the hog out, it's another to be running in a city doing it. :V

  19. A little different from the usual for this thread, but the ASRock Sonic motherboard has a unique background image that I don't believe has ever been uploaded to the internet (at least that's what my reverse image searches tell me). Extracted with the help of UEFITool and searching the raw data for "FF D8 FF" (the header for .jpg files): Section_Raw_F7625B66-935F-49C8-9A91-0D655CA90D9F.jpg
