Was bored, so I did some stuff to S&K. For some reason this doesn't work when locked on to S3, and will just go to S&K...

 

Why doesn't that work with S3? Seems like a simple sprite change to me. :v:

You missed the rolling sprite andlabs, therefore, this requires a V2. :v:

When locked onto Sonic 3, the game pulls all of the sprites for Sonic, Tails and level appropriate badniks from the Sonic 3 section of the game. Knuckles' art is taken from the S&K portion of the rom.



(It has been brought to my attention that I may be incorrect in this theory, but that's how it worked for me once while doing a test.)

 

Some Sonic and Tails sprites, the ones used when running in circles at the end of SSZ and inside that thing in LRZ1, are in Sonic & Knuckles nonetheless.

 

I tried playing it in Regen, and well, no objects load, so I can't really play it >_>

 

Looks really nice in motion.




Should I give the hill ends a more curved look at the cost of usability?
