Wow, I haven't kept up on the English patch since FFXIVARR came out last year. I didn't realize that item names were translated now. Is there anything left that the translation won't translate? I may have to patch up and play again for a bit.
Aside from the frequent additions of new content and (some) client quests / possibly some NPC dialogue I think the patch covers pretty much everything. Again, I haven't played for a while, and it seems a lot of new content has been added since, so... :specialed:
Been debating buying this for my PS Vita, but want to ask (would appreciate if anyone here could help me with an answer)...what is the difference between the Deluxe Package and Special Package? And which is the better of the two?
You won't be able to connect using a Vita, unless you have one of those ISP that isn't "blocked". People who have TWC can still connect.
Do I still need a SegaID ? I can't get past the Japanese image verification when I try to create an account.
Unfortunately a SEGA ID is required, and that Japanese captcha boss is an absolute bastard to get through. I tend to use this when having to fight it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiragana It's this same captcha bullshit that makes registering AC (Arks-Cash: in game micro-transaction currency) a painful experience.
So you know that English version that was only available in certain countries because of a region lock? Well, the region lock's been removed: http://news.mmosite.com/content/2015-07-18/phantasy_star_online_2_sea_removed_ip_block.shtml Apparently it's badly translated and unbalanced though.
Not to mention at least a year or two out of date. I wouldn't bother; just play the Japanese version with English patches. You can just use CyberKitsune's proxy injector if you can't connect normally, which is much easier and safer than using a VPN in either case.
That IP block is back, what? 4 days? Fan translated version it is then lol http://www.segadriven.com/2015/07/phantasy-star-online-2-western-ip-block-returns-pso2-fans-weep/ I'd really like to play this, but I don't wanna have to jump through hoops to do it =T
so uh ps4 version happening PS4 ports are generally a sign of a game getting localized (eg. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth), what with consoles being kinda dead in Japan, but knowing Sega...
I wouldn't bet on it at all still. But it'd be appreciated. That said, I didn't particularly care for what I played about PSO2. It's missing something that made the first one enjoyable. This one feels more like a stylized husk.
