Beta sign ups are already available, if you were in Alpha 2 and reached level 10 you're automatically in the beta. Me myself? I can't wait, seriously amazing game.

They released a character creator demo and benchmark program for PSO2 that you can grab here. No account required. You can create a character and import that data to be used in the next closed beta if you get in.
Even though I don't remember a lot from my Japanese class, I signed up anyway. :P I hope I get in too.
http://pso2.jp/benchmark/download/ I don't believe it's been mentioned, but this thread has a benchmark tool to determine how well you can run it. From what I've read if you had a decent computer in 2008, you can run this just fine. Reference From Sega ? Less than 2000: Please adjust your game settings because the processing load is quite heavy. ?? 2000 through 5000: The game runs fine at the setting, if you have room, you can adjust some settings. ??? 5001+: The game works wonderfully at this setting. Edit- Just downloaded the benchmark tool from the site, and inside the zip was the character creator setup so they must just be one and the same.
Got a score of 1538 with the graphics setting at 5, high res textures, and standard shading. I changed the shading to simple and it jumped up to 20101. I guess this is a sign that my graphics card is starting to become outdated? >.> Ah well, as long as it runs I'm all good.
The character creator seems very robust. I can making appealing looking people very quickly! The only nagging problem I have is that the color of your suit is pre-set to several colors for humans/numans. Just a little annoying, seeing as casts has the color wheel for the three different colors of their parts.
Seems to run at around 30FPS on the default settings for me. I am OK with this... especially considering I can't understand most of the settings, and can't configure them ingame apparently (the more complex options ingame as detailed in Krigo's link up there happen to be disabled).
