Pretty cool! I have a few improvements though: Maybe shields should be changed to electric one (makes more sense IMO). Then as I already said I another topic, when Pikachu is rolling or something, electricity should be around him. The motobug enemy could be Paras or Parasect. Oh and, please do something with Pikachu's head. He looks like he's having neck problems. :P

 

Seen as everyone's doing it, here's some ideas:

Green Hill Zone => Route 1 Zone (With Route 1 music, as I suggested yesterday)
Marble Zone => Mt. Moon Zone (Cave Music)
Spring Yard Zone => Pokemon Pinball Zone? (No idea)
Labrynth Zone => Victory Road Zone (Cave music again? Or that intense tune that plays at the Indigo Plateu)
Star Light Zone => Saffron City Zone (Saffron City music)
Scrap Brain Zone => Rocket Base Zone (the music that plays in the Game Corner base)

I'm loving the art so far.

 

Maybe the extra life jingle could be changed to the healing jingle from the pokemon centres?

No, really, I dig this hack. The best I could do is help.

 

I like what I see so far. I like the level layout for Green Hill 1 and 2 a lot, it has a really good flow to it. The idea is pretty cool, too. I look foward to battling Team Rocket at the end of every stage. (Eggmobile = Meowthmobile plz?) I'm digging the art style, too.

This would be hilariously AWESOME.

Gym Leader themes would work too.

 

Unfortunately, most bosses would be dead before the initial fanfare. I really love that idea though, hahahah.

You NEED to have the ' PICACHU ' sound effect come out at the title screen after he pops up.
The voice box would be a bonus.

Unless he plans on putting Sonic 2 enemies INTO Sonic 1...thats a whole different thing right there.

 

Do they all have to be based off Kanto Pokemon?

 

So what if it's the wrong game? They'd still be neat to see in there to replace some of the baddies that can't be directly substituted with Pokémon.

 

From what I've gleamed, it's preferable, but if they're no fitting Kanto Pokemon for the role, I don't see why a later one couldn't be used.

Marble Zone needs to play Pokemon Tower.

 

Well, my vote goes to Lavender Town.

 

Just played it, and one suggestion—I'd like to see how the sprites would look WITHOUT the black outline. None of the other character sprites had the black outline, and it makes it feel a tiny bit too cartoony (not that Sonic isn't cartoony in the first place). Know what I'm saying?

 

Too creepy; it wouldn't be well-suited to the bits with a bit more action.

Pokemon Tower, on the other hand, is a bit more active; it can work with fireballs shooting at you.
