    -------UPDATE-------
    Ok Guys!
    Here is the Winter 2011 Public Beta that was promised. (this is the first Public demo for this project since we started in 2006)
    I ended up using the 2010 Closed Beta level from the old engine,
    as I didn't have the time to properly Construct a new level with so many lose ends to tie up.

    Please Note: that Some sections of Winter Demo are based on layouts of the E3 1996 video.
    However, this layout has been modified quite a bit to make up for the missing sections I Haven't,t yet recreated.
    Personally I feel the Layout in the original E3 demo was horrible, Probably was built as a testing ground and nothing more.
    So, Ya! ummmmm.... Many areas that were shown in videos and such will probably stay as bonus levels that the player will need to unlock!

    Also Please keep in mind that this is Its A beta, so ya,, ummm......please no Bitchen about how crappy the level layout is, or how crappy the game is in its current state,,,, ect ect.

    Any Bugs found Please report! Just in case we missed them,

    Some known bugs:
    1.Sonics sprite wackes out when moving around initially when the game first loads up. ( This Will be fixed)
    2.Camera sometimes Wackes out (Very rare, Can be fixed, cause by collision issues)
    3.Some collision Issues where sonic walks over the Frozen water, he hovers in the air, (Fixable)
    4.If level is Rotated, and jumping near some walls This causes sonic to jump Funky, ( Cause Known, Easily Fixable)
    5.There is no 3ed life, when you die, and the game hangs there,,,,( fixable)

    thanks to him since I didn't have the time.

    Instructions: Download all 3 rar files and unrar the first one only, as its divided between the 3 archives to make smaller file size for file host.

    Its really pathetic that the Fanbase does a better Job (both graphicly and in regards to the gameplay) than Sega's in-house Sonic Team! :/

    haha , ya I know, sorry about that.
    I wanted to elaborate on NPD 89's post,
    and to show that even with 3D graphics you can keep the sonic look and feel.
    Sonic 4's art-style is so inconsistent with the previous sonics in the series. to me it just doesn't fit very well.
    I really dislike sonic 4's uneven rendering perspectives used for all the individual textures. lighting is also very inconsistent.

    Yeah, it's sad when fans can do better than SEGA. I remember seeing those screens of your Sonic CD 3D-ification over on Senntient (go by Grans there). Awesome work man, I'd say you shame SEGA, but I don't think there's any more shame you can put on them that they themselves haven't created. Yes yes, don't put the fans above sega, legal issues, blah blah blah, sorry. It's just getting really truly ridiculous. They even have to hire a third party- Dimps, to get their dirty work done. Really lame.

    Thats just a temporary model. ( will model something new for the final game)

    Originally kurisu made it for use in Sonic Xtreme, probably back in 1996 or so.
    than Damizean rebuilt that, I think he used later it in his 3D sonic Blitz engine,

    I liked the model quite a bit and thought I'd do some edits on it, ( this was before he did the 3D sonic engine)
    hnmmm,.,,,,I didn't quite like the polygonal layout so,,,,,,I rebuilt the head and body from scratch,
    the arms legs feet and hands are still Damizean's, ( with minor edits)
    I intended to remodel whatever parts were left over of Damizean,,,but other things came up.

    EDIT:
    The metal sonic icon you see that im using here, this one was made from scratch.
    this was done before the sonic model. around 2006 for Sonic CD remix ( on hold for AXSX)

    Looks like my project is competition with this game, because it seems we have the same goals and equal amounts of talent and resources. And the sad part is I didn't even fully notice it until now :v:

    Concept for the Sonic Xtreme PC version level editor.
    We wanted to do a level editor for those of you who don't really model, something simple yet powerful.
    I wont explain how it works, since its easy to make out whats going on in the pic below.

    we haven't really worked on it to much.
    So far we have vertex welding capabilities. which is key for geometry optimizations.
    without that it would make the models a bit heavy on slower systems..

    This model was done from scratch polygon by polygon, looking at pictures of SANiK's fisheye viewer as a reference.
    ( some of the block sizes were inconsistent with the Jade gully video that Chris Senn released)

    SO.... we used the video as reference to make corrections to block scales.
    ( we used the texture pixels as a guide for aligning up polygons between video and model which makes everything pixel perfect)

    The 2 images below show the differences wood bridge scale, waterfall foam scale, as well as waterfall and river indentations into the ground for some of the upper level areas)

    I did a level edit using sonic ED and built a ( I call it U-Pike)
    Ran it in emulator and noticed something odd....
    Sonics Maximum height seems to be different! anyone else notice this before?
    I triple checked....using slow motion. and frame by frame.

    one of our physics testing areas, this layout is made up of random sections of Spring yard zone and some other random models I did awhile back.
    Yes, I know.... its not pretty,,, what matters here, is that the slopes are pixel perfect to spring yard zone angles.

    final grass wont be as demanding on the graphics card,

    same here, I did see a small glitch of grass about 4x9 pixels big, but that's it, blank.
