Been combing through an ISO. Found out that the model format is unknown and currently not cracked, but I recall seeing some text dumps, and I've found a debug menu I want to look at. Can't find the info on its text format; anyone know? EDIT: Sidenote: There is a model for something called 'casino_colo'. Huh. Until the model format is opened up, it could just be an existing Colosseum, but... EDIT2: ffffff it looks like it's the menu proper, not just text, so good luck getting an idea of what's in it. I wonder if it still works? EDIT3: <!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->EDIT: Also, common.fsys contains common_rel, an unknown-LZSS-encrypted file that I can make out a couple pieces of text in. 'pokemon', 'hyper', 'level up'... EDIT2: The fuck? shrine_1F refers to the Relic Stone, I'd guess, since it's the only shrine in this game... but floor specification is only used on multi-floor areas. There is no shrine_2F. EDIT3: common_rel is really weirding me out. I've found 'worldmap', 'new darkside' (?) and a ton of other stuff, with some junk in it. Looks like the dictionary. Any encryption people want to take a whack at it? <a href="http://www.filedropper.com/commonrel" target="_blank">http://www.filedropper.com/commonrel</a><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Interesting.... I might just say this now: There is an internal list of Shadow Pokemon. There are text references to several unused Shadow Pokemon. A few of these unused Shadow Pokemon went on to be used in Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness btw, such as Teddiursa. Bulbapedia had a full list of unused pokemon somewhere, I forget where though. found it: <a href="http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Shadow_Pok%C3%A9mon" target="_blank">http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Shadow_Pok%C3%A9mon</a>
I know about it; there was more on the old pokefor.tk. I'm trying to figure out the text format so that I can comb through the files, as that list is incomplete. For example, there was a "Shadow Grass Pokemon King" with a <strike>shadow</strike> Chimecho. EDIT: Found an archived version. <a href="http://web.archive.org/web/20050501164920/pokefor.greenchu.de/meowth346/archives/2005/04/27/unused-colosseum-text/" target="_blank">http://web.archive.org/web/20050501164920/...colosseum-text/</a>
That's gibberish. Yeah, there's some kanji in there, but there is also what appears to be Korean and Arabic script, as well as complete junk. I can't say I've seen ௵ ever in my life.
All of the e-Reader crap is in NTSC-U Colosseum. One of the fsys (carde.fsys) contains 21 small files, named using the standard 'cardxx_bin'. These seem to specify something to do with the cards; looking at the structure, the cards may just be unlock keys for these. Now, there are 20 Pokemon Colosseum Double Battle-e cards. There is one file left over. So, there either was a card removed from the sets released, or a promo that was never printed. EDIT: Also, common.fsys contains common_rel, an unknown-LZSS-encrypted file that I can make out a couple pieces of text in. 'pokemon', 'hyper', 'level up'... ex_shrine.fsys contains cerebi_dat. Seems to be for the JPN bonus disc Celebi event- but why is it on the main game disc?
Got in contact with Chris. Unfortunately, he doesn't much by way of info on the text format anymore. <!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->I'm afraid I don't have any of that information around. If I remember correctly, it uses 16bit characters with an 8bit delimiter, but I might be thinking of another game... Sorry I can't be of any more help!<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
