This site shows Persona 5's localization problems pretty well. It has a great explanation of game localization as well. EDIT: Atlus already covering all their bases for possible Persona 5 spin-offs.
Thank you for that very fascinating read. It points out a lot of issues I have with translation efforts in general. Also, guess it's time to eat my own hat or somethin', "If…" DLC made the cut for western release after all. Color me surprised.

The first episode of the Persona 5 anime was released, and surprisingly it's pretty good. The animation is generally really static, however the art generally looks as good as Soejima's art for the games. So it's a much better looking anime than the Persona 4 anime adaptations at least. It's paced pretty well too, it skips over the right amount of stuff from the game that it needs to while also not leaving anything important out.
