    What's the main differences to the final game? hardly played SPA.

    Played a bit of it... I honestly don't see anything different from the final build, as far as the first act and the first special stage go.

    Got a screen of the little message that pops up after you beat the levels:

    Does anyone remember this from the last build? I could have sworn it just made you restart the level again.

    Also, this message pops up when you access the puzzle view on the options screen:

    When you select "Sonic Rush" on the duel menu:

    When you attempt to view the top 5 rankings in the time trial menu:

    Can anyone translate what these say? Also, did I crop these to the wrong resolution? I cut out all the black from a print screen dump, since NeoPop doesn't appear to have a built-in screenshot function.
     
  9. Due to some encouragement I'm gonna post again. Yay-ish?

    I noted this when the blogger posted in the No-Intro forums about it. I've been taken a look at the other ROMs in it as well. They seem to mostly be Kiosk demo dumps -

    1) There's two SNK Vs. Capcom Cardfighters ROMs. One consists entirely of a non-interactive demo movie which has some snazzy graphics and whatnot. The other is a playable SNK version. There does not seem to be an English option. I haven't played very far to spot any other differences.

    2) KOF R-2's demo allows you to play a "Trial Team" of Kyo, Iori and Leona up against an identical team for a one-player match. After that match ends it shows some demo video with all the planned features, in Japanese (In spite of, up to this point, the text being English due to my English-language setting)

    3) Pac-Man and Puzzle Bobble Mini do not have anything notable yet, other than PBM having a black background instead of a beige-ish one.

    4) There is a Black-and-white NGP Demo of KOF-R1 along with a "Melon-Chan" JP game of some sort. Haven't played it yet.

    Will probably edit more later.

    This was already pointed out:

    EDIT: On a sidenote, the Pac-Man "beta" matches the final version. I wonder how that slipped by them.
     
  12. Indeed, I guess finding a prototype of Pac-man is very much a laughable affair in the end. :(

    The KOF R-1 demo is basically the same idea as the KOF R-2 demo - except in black and white and not nearly as cool (There is no demo movie afterwards, just "GAME OVER"). The game packed with it is way too Japanese for me to really bother touching it.

    The Japanese text is basically just descriptions of the sections, nothing that seems to be important. Looks like the end of level text is 'This is as far as you can go in the demo' or something. Lemme know if you want exact translations.
