Naoto Ohshima, Twin Star, Wonder Hedgehog, 1990 Tokyo Toy Show, and other goodness

Ohshima said on Twitter a few years ago that the armadillo drawing isn't his. It might have been created for that video.

 

Was going to say, obviously it's not perfect but the aesthetics of that armadillo scream American drawing, not Japanese.

Do we actually specifically know it was a hedgehog character by this point? "Wonder Hedgehog" could easily just be the name of the ability

I guess that Pix n Love or whoever "cleaned" it up for their book didn't really care much about historical value.

 

I'd be wary of this - I've seen nothing to suggest the Game Gear version was being considered in 1990. Also it would obscure a Sega logo.

 

I guess that somebody can just print the whole thing at the proper size and see if it fits. Could still have been designed for it just in case, but not used in the end.

 

Looking at this makes me think the 2 in the bottom are supposed to be acrylic stands.
