Is it possible to port music from Sonic 3 to Sonic 2? I want to do away with that awful Hill Top music. If it`s possible how can this be done. This is intended for my hack " Sonic 2: Revolution". I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

  2. It's possible- I don't know how, but this seems like a good guess- change the code for the music in sonic 2 to the code for the music in sonic 3.

Don't whatever you do hold me to this, but I think you can convert the music by converting a savestate... use ESE.

The entire coding system for the music in the sonic games is a bit on the tough side to work with, and I can only think of one hack that has created/brought in new music to these games (the oil ocean music hack which replaced it with jingle bells or something). However, Saxman released the Sonic QX beta a few months ago that should be able to port/create songs in the games. However, Shacnet is down, and I'm not sure if Sonicology has it. Plus, I really don't know what the entire program can do, but that program is probably your best bet.

I suggest you get a General midi of the song you wan't to use, then port that midi into Sonic 2 beta using Sonic QX, then port all the music from sonic 2 beta into Sonic 2 final.

No offense, but that's one of the stupidest things I ever herd.
