Most annoying glitch you've ever experienced?

    I've only ever had this happen once, and I've never had it happen again. in Sonic 2, Chemical plant zone, in the area where you have a ramp(corner) then you end up flying up to the two platforms that are rotating, I've had it glitch to where I went 'through' the ramp and ended up inside one of the floor blocks. I couldn't get out either. I was trying to see how fast I could spindash right before it, and that happened. I had to wait for the time to run out (Which sucked bit time cause this is near the beginning).

    Sadly, I don't have a screenshot for this, and it's never happened again.

    I did some more testing. This doesn't happen in S3&K. This only happens in S&KC. And sometimes the ending scene is half triggered (you're still stuck anyway).
    This possibly means that the Sonic & Knuckles Collection uses a rom different than the normal release.

    I thought it has been proved it was a C program which was a straight port of the 68k version. Moreover, I think Shibunoa said that the sprites were stored as RLE or something, as he found Sonic sprites in TLP but they seemed to be thin (using Genesis' format).

    Notice however that any mistake in the porting could have happened in the way, hence causing this new bug.

    I DONE MAKED GAMES.
    The collision of Sonic 3 always bugged me. I swear, the first time I ever got 'stuck' in Carnival Night Zone was not because of the barrel, which I figured out after messing with the first one in act 1. Nah, on my first go this happened:

    True story. And I cringe whenever I come to a completely dead stop halfway up a quarter-pipe curve as well.

    During a recent spout of boredom at work I decided to play through Sonic 3 & Knuckles and properly complete it again. Noticed a couple of bugs. This one is worth a mention though.

    Launch Base - Forget which act, but I was darting around as Super Sonic, going across the screen from right to left at full pelt, about to go up this ramp when I went through the wall and got stuck. I saw this was mentioned in a previous post but for the Sonic Mega Collection, while this happened for me on the original carts.

    It's supposed to be a bit difficult to control -- it's flipping pinball, after all. Just don't overcorrect and it's actually pretty easy to manage; certainly no worse than Ice Cap's snowboarding sequence from SA1.

    Special stage in that game though could have taken more than a few retoolings.

    Except SA1's Ice Cap isn't a pitland.

    And about Sonic 3, I think the game doesn't check for walls when going upside down :thumbsup:

    It feels like it tries to stop you but at the same time flips sonic back the right way up so you end up warping on top of anything you are running on. what ever the reason to not fix it and call it a robotnik trap in the manual is just... wrong.

    Sometimes Sonic does go through the walls actually.

    If so, you can get Super/Hyper Knuckles to Sonic's boss arena, and even beat it, if you're good enough at exploiting the physics. No debug necessary.

    This video shows how to get there, but I use a different (and slightly more reliable) method to get the hits. I take a low jump to get up speed, and then jump from the slope to almost top of the screen (don't go off, or your glide speed suffers), then glide into him from there. Repeat 7 more times. Takes more rings, usually, but you have at least one opportunity for a spheres bonus game for lots of Super fuel.

    During my playthrough of Sonic 3K this morning as Sonic, when I turned into Super Sonic, I kept running into walls, getting stuck, getting crushed, and dieing. This happened about 3 times, and it was very annoying. I never realized how glitchy the collision in the game is.

    There's a glitch that used to get me every time that I've never heard anyone mention on any boards.

    In Sonic 2's Hilltop Zone Act 2, take the lower path. If you get loads of speed going down the tube and spin up the hill, it's possible to land straight on the Rexon's head at the top, causing the game to crash.

    Most frustratingly, I can't seem to manage it now!

    I've never experienced this in Sonic 3 or S3K.

    The most annoying bug is in S3K, it's called Knuckles. Playing with Knux is just frustrating, for example, I get squashed by the breakable wall things in HCZ if I break them by spindashing (that's just one example of about 10 different glitches I've experienced).
