The Olympic Summer Games ROM has Test Drive stuff added, but the rest aren't obviously different from a first glance. Though bear in mind "first glance" in this case was like, five or ten seconds.

 

Bugs Bunny should be different, there's a competetion for reaching the "Bully for Bugs" level. I have to go to work for a couple of hours though.

Ah, from the rules it sounds like Bugs Bunny is just the full game rather than a special competition / test drive version.

okay I cheated a bit - "0.sa.bin" doesn't have a header, so I copied everything up to 1003FF from one of the menus in that other archive. Surprisingly it boots!

 

Our Sega Channel US schedule page is more stylish now...

 

Neat! I guess that's the Sega Channel adapter software, similar to how those Sega Game Toshokan roms are appended to the Sega Game Toshokan software.

Nice discovery! This menu has a lot of unique music that isn't in the menu ROMs we already have. We also now have this wonderful Mortal Kombat fan art preserved for future generations (congrats to James Powers).

 

Can you share your hacked version here?... I'm not a "tech guy" like most of you (and there are probably more people here like me) and I'd like to try it out on an emulator...

 

Also works for the ones in SCMENUS/SA/ARCHIVES. There are ones with multiple menus for some months, probably the ones that had events on certain days. Did we not have 1995-01 before?

 

I don't think so... but I'm not sure... or how to check... I have two laptops and one of them crashed when I installed a windows 10 update two years ago (which is the laptop where I have all my Roms and emulators... and I still haven't done a new windows installation on it exactly so I don't lose everything I have on there)... right now I use the other laptop but I don't have anything on it...

 

We didn't have January 1995 - I was wondering why that was omitted.

For the record, 01_95A is before The Great Earthworm Jim Race started, and 02_95B is after. Apparently that event only started on the 28th January, so that second ROM would have been online for a whopping three days.
