Ithink I found what sng relates to Launch Base Zone. Listen to "the way you make me feel" at the begining and it should sound slightly like launch base zone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09791ypOcZ8
no, I just listened to the whole thing again, and I think the whole song kinda' sounds like launch base not just the starting.
The song has a similar style, yes, but otherwise I see absolutely no resemblance to Launch Base. At all.
You need to stop LOOKING for similarities. Honestly, the first find was awesome and all, but you shouldn't have to LOOK for them -- if any more exist, we'll find them without trying.
At 1:46 of the music video of Blood on The Dance Floor you hear this Blood On The Dance Floor: <a href="http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/12/20/535465/Blood%20on%20the%20dance%20floor.wav" title="Blood on the dance floor.wav"> Blood on the dance floor.wav </a> <br />Free file hosting from File Den Knuckles Theme: <a href="http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/12/20/535465/Knuckles%20Theme%281%29.wav" title="Knuckles Theme(1).wav"> Knuckles Theme(1).wav </a> <br />Free file hosting from File Den

For launch base this is what I found <a href="http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/12/20/535465/Smooth%20Criminal.wav" title="Smooth Criminal.wav"> Smooth Criminal.wav </a> <br /><a href= <a href="http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/12/20/535465/Launch%20Base.wav" title="Launch Base.wav"> Launch Base.wav </a> <br /><a href=
Lol, how could he mess up the "This post has been edited by CoolBoySlim" thing to turn it into an hyperlink??? :wtf:
Just ask the Sonic 3 crew and we'll get the correct answers, anything else* is and will be just pure speculation until confirmed. *Except for the Stranger in Moscow / Sonic 3 ending similarities.
I was temorarly in contact with Howard Drossin, but he was so busy he disapeared, so I didn't get a chance to ask him about the MJ thing; I was planning to ask it last in case he was still slightly bitter about it.
This reminds me one thing (I ignore if it's been already pointed out), you can hear some Jam bits in PCM samples 9F and A0 of Sonic 3 (go to Stealth's topic for that), when played at 13 KHz instead of the standard 11 KHz rate. And this time, I'm sure I'm not "jammin" (unlike my dodgy suggested similarity about Icecap).
Knuckles' theme from S3 is in Sonic Pocket Adventure, which probably means that Sega had no copyright-related problems with it.
Absolutely (in a certain manner*), but it was an accident: http://www.triplo.com/ev/reversal/ *reversing the songs indeed do not give you the exact reversal interpretation, but it almost sounds like (of course, all that is only the human's imagination and mustn't be taken seriously) And, here's the ultimate proof that Dioxaz is a complete moron: - Exerpt from Jam (Track 1 of Michael Jackson's album, Dangerous) - Sample A0 played at a 13500 Hz frequency rate This way, A0 sounds like being sampled straight from Jam (or it might be another remix/version). Of course, I can be entirely mistaken and the sound being produced/recreated for the game, but... even this way, it still sounds similar. Are you sure of that? That song is almost only made with PCM samples (mostly the B2-B3 one). Or you were referring to the S3K version.
