    Nah. Sonic & Knuckles just basically also carries a (hacked) copy of Sonic 2 with it, stripped of all resources (music, graphics, levels, etc), which it loads from the actual Sonic 2 cart. I think all the program is in S&K, maybe except for the sound driver, not sure.

    I personally wouldn't want that. To me, the whole point in that hack is that it has the same gameplay in the levels as the original.
