No "new" game this time, just the Mega Drive version of Viewpoint that wasn't released in Japan. According to us, we're up to 44 games now (out of "50+"). So I guess there might be one last batch.
The biggest missed opportunity in my eyes is making the expansion ports on the original Mega Drive mini cosmetic. I know about the Tower of Power, but I wish those extra accessories were actually functional.
I was hoping for SMT so that’s nice. Figured it’d be in there considering it’s their series now, but I wasn’t sure if they’d bother getting the rights from SIMS for a version not many experienced.
Seems like there's a possibility that the Lunar games (or Popful Mail) might not be coming to the west without fan demand. Victor Ireland, the owner of Working Designs says he is not being offered enough money by Sega of Japan to bring them over. Quoted from cj_iwakura's twitter thread:

Holy shit some crazy ass reveals for the finale. A lot of Japan exclusives. And finally the full lineup of Genesis Mini 2 games has been revealed: Also confirmed there will be a European variant (same game lineup as NA) and pre-orders will start in September.
I wasn't expecting they would go so hard on the Mega Drive Mini 2 collection, and I wasn't even putting a expectation on it.
Shame they never put Sonic 3 & Knuckles in it when people thought it would be easy for M2 to just swap in music from the prototype. Would have been better than the shit from Origins by miles.
Damn I loved Ristar. I loved it so much I hacked it onto my Mega Drive Mini, good to see a true classic on the console.
Didn't even realise there was a European version at first because Sega prioritised shoving Genesis branding all over the single unified account. (RIP @sega_europe) Happy we're at least getting it but the communication has been awful.
Recreated Space Harrier 2 is pretty dope. Glad to see them take advantage of the (fake) Mega CD for it. I wonder if it’s possible to extract and run on my Mega SD.
