I always thought that what Sega should do is split the series. Rather than have a max execution of characters, they can shove basically all characters made past 1995 into a separate series where Shadow would be the main character. These games would play like the modern ones do, and contain all the stupid crap retro Sonic fans can't stand, and the original Sonic cast would be exclusive to another series that would play more like the classics.

And hopefully the Shadow series would fail hard and would die out naturally

I never understood the somersault. If there is a roll, what's the point of having a slower roll? And why couldn't they have just added like a fire spin dash (That would have been awesome :D)

The somersault was really lame, anyways. I wasn't just hating on the fire somersault, I was really hating on the somersault in general. I believe the somersault was the beginning of whenever Sonic started to forget that it was a physics-based series.

 

I don't know if anyone has asked this before, but does anyone hear a hint of Green Grove's BGM for the skiing event? I think it's from the Saturn version.

Yep she's pre 1995. She can stay. Basically I want Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Robotnik, Metal Sonic, and Amy

 

Knuckles' Chaotix dates from 1995, so I'd damn well better see the Chaotix in your dream series. SEGA made the good decision to bring them back and actually make them good characters, yet they vanish from existence after two games (one of them being ShTH ffs, and not including M&S). It's really frustrating.

 

I need some opinions on this game. Which is the version to get? Is it any fun? I know I said "insta buy" but I don't have much money, so I need to know if this is worth putting on the xmas list or not. IGN doesn't seem to like it very much (the Wii version anyway), but it is IGN, and I have a feeling that this game was docked points simply for having Sonic in it.

So, I have a question to ask. Seeing as it's released here tomorrow and I can only afford one version, the question is "Do I buy the Wii or DS version?"

I will be buying the one I don't buy at a later date, but I don't know which one to buy for now.

 

The Wii version is really good, I think you should get it. I downloaded it when it was leaked, and ended up having a lot of fun. I've unlocked everything but 1 dream event. It has a pretty cool cast of rivals too, if you play festival mode. SPOILERS ( + - Eggman Nega, Omega, Rouge, King Boo, Bullet Bill, and I think I'm forgetting someone...   )

The dream events are also great, there is a good amount of both Sonic and Mario events held.

Overall the game is nothing like the first one. You can't even compare the 2 as games.

 

After quite a few issues I finally uploaded the music, Of course there are spoilers due to the music names.
I had to split it into 2 parts as the website I uploaded it too doesn't allow over 1GB file's (it does but you have to pay for them), the songs are in .wav format for various reason's (not that it matters really...) anyway here are the links!

It's from the wii version and I'm not sure due to the fact that I haven't played the ds version for awhile.
