The first needs more bounce to his movement, and the 2nd run needs less moving quills. Looks more pre-next gen then Classic.
First one has been adjusted already but won't be posted yet. Bouncing quills are being kept. He's not made of plastic.
Well, I'm aware of that, but the rate he's moving at I don't think the bounciness of the quills should be visible yet. That's just my opinion. EDIT: Actually, spikes are made of reminaces of bone like fingernails, so making them bounce isn't a good idea.
Alright, finally here. OSM sent me, so here's some sprites. Tails sprites based off classic Tails art. Pallet may require some tweaking, I'm not entirely happy with it.
You have to be careful to not make the sprite look like it has the "Chibi" kind of style. Since I don't think that's what we are aiming for. :v:
I don't think it looks very chibi, compared to some of the classic artwork Deebs hit it perfectly nail on the head in my opinion.
It's not meant to be 'chibi', no. It's meant to be a merge of this: http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/5229/tails0232mb2.png and the original Tails sprites proportions. EDIT: I'm going to do some small tweaks on it. The tufts of fur are a bit too bright and stick out too much. EDITx2: Much more comfortable with this.

Moving the tips slightly doesn't give the proper look of bouncing. What needs to be done is to make the entire quill bounce. If you'd like, I could take a shot at making it look right.(but I'd need the sheet to do so)

See what you can do about fixing that Ekoi.
Gladly. It's not exactly final since I copy pasta the same hands over and over, but that's what I get for animating at 4 in the morning.
I don't think Deebs's Tails looks "chibi" at all. It looks closer to the classic Tails than anything else I've seen here.
How exactly do you open this? EDIT: Can't get codebox to work. Gale106( I see. I can't open it then, because I use a mac, which is incompatible.
I believe that's a Graphic's Gale file. EDIT: I know it's been said that the Sonic has been finalized, but I can't help but throw my two cents in for fun anyway. I'll be doing the same for Knuckles as well. Based off classic art.
For a spritual successor to the Genny games, that animation looks awfully Advance-like Or did you drop the whole "classic" angle?

The quills never bounced in the original games. During the running animation they moved a bit but they never bounced. But yeah I must admit, even though it looks rather sexy it's screaming "ADVANCE" rather than "CLASSIC"
