The only tension in the room was when Aaron revealed one of the prizes was the Selvaria figure. It was palpable. A shock and awe reaction, followed by groaning at the knowledge that not everyone in the room would leave with the figure.

I enjoyed the video, though. Caught a lot of excellent moments from the event, especially the last clip, lol.

 

You know, it really isn't that dangerous of a comment. No one ever disliked Sonic 3+K for letting you pick among three. Oh, sure, you could make the argument that the current notion is that you have more characters, you have to play through every one of them before you can actually finish any of them, but really in a classic homage they should be thinking enough not to do that.

 

Fuck, I wanted that clock.

Anyway, being someone who sees controversial negative reactions toward things that piss you off in an appropriate public setting, such as one designed around said subject, as a highly respectable action, I'm glad someone tried to nail SEGA's balls to the wall like that. Seeing fans everywhere drive the point home every chance they get is a good reminder I'm not the only majorly pissed off Sonic fan that hasn't caved and bought the game and tried to "get used" to how broken it is as a way of lying to myself about its quality. (Not directed at anyone who likes Sonic 4, only at those who say "Well you get used to this and that.) And to me, this display of negativity and defiance is a display of passion and concern, because to me, there is no better display for passion than anger, rage, and persistence.

In other words, FUCK YEAH!

Also I know this is old but it resurfaced so I thought before it sank again, I would inject my oh-so-important 2 cents. (Sarcasm was used. :v

 

You know, Sonic 4 isn't the only sequel around where you have to "get used to" the changes in it from earlier games. And sometimes games like that happen to be very good despite having to "get used to" changes. Not saying that's the case with Sonic 4, though.

 

Speaking of that clock I was given it for my Birthday last week. I think it's quite nice myself (I'm pretty indifferent about the art, don't hate or love it), goes with the colour scheme in my room well and it's quiet too. :P

 

It wouldn't be so annoying if people weren't saying "Well you get used to it" to excuse bad design choices or shoddy programming.

 

So, they give you free food and a clock and your bitching because the game doesn't hold high standards to the originals? Christ, sonic 4 is a godsend after all the horrible shit they have put out since sonic adventure 2. Its not like they are forcing you to play the damn game, move on kid. Kinda ungrateful if you ask me.
