After a long gaming session, I pulled out my USB stick, the top part of the "key" broke off, and is now stuck in the PS3 USB port. The only thing that I have found so far that can fit the gap is a piece of paper, and barely. The drive still works properly. As a result, no other USB device can plug into it. How can you remove it? If you can't, how do I open the PS3, and replace the USB port (what part do I need, and is it a good idea?). I don't believe it is under warranty, but I don't want a get banned from PSN at this point. FYI The PS3 is the 2nd version, and the drive is a SanDisk Cruzer, I believe. The part in the USB port has been swallowed whole (as, no part is sticking out).

o.O. Yeah you won't get banned from PSN for a fault that is impossible for Sony to detect. They put cameras in your bedroom dude? How are they going to know you dicked your USB port? If you want to remove it I suggest either a very powerful magnet (yeah I know stupid idea) or just taking it to a console repair person. Could you send the PS3 off to Sony? If I were you I'd just leave the USB port as it is and carry on gaming. The cost of sending the thing off to Sony or a reputable PS3 repair person is just not worth it. You really want to get it repaired: contact Sony. UPS it off to them. Get it fixed. Hope that helps.

Or Super bonder. Just put it on some plastic stick (JUST ON THE STICK) and glue it to the piece inside, then pull it!
