    God, somethings up with my emu. when I start certain roms up, the screen is black. I assume this is the checksum, and I'd check it, but I use mac! I need a good checksum checker for mac, please

    The screen is black??? Usually an indicator for a checksum problem is if the screen turns red. Was the rom you tried to start up from off the internet? If you get a version of ESE though, then you can do checksum fixes.

    I'm on a mac. when I run the same roms on windows, the screen is red. Correct me if I'm wrong, but ESE doesn't work on mac.

    Go to Option -> Misc. and check the "Auto Fix Checksum" box. This is for Gens, and I can't help you with another emulator.
