I recently dug up a DVD I burnt that's full of scans I made of whatever was left of my Nintendo Power, Sega Visions, etc. I'm assuming that at least some of what I have (that's Sega related, of course) might be useful to Sega Retro, but which of these options should I take? [1] Upload them all to filehosting in a bigass zip donation and let Retro deal with it. [2] Upload them all to a image hosting site, link to them in a thread and let Retro decide which ones are worthy for Sega Retro. [3] Put them up on the wiki myself, and if any are deemed irrelevant or stupid they can just be removed later. I'm leaning toward 3, even though it'll take more of my time, because I don't want to push the work on to others. But, I'm not perfectly clear on the types of scans wanted (I've got game system articles, adverts, game reviews, news, etc). What should I do?
I pick number two, but that's only because I want to see those files, they sound interesting. That said number two probably is the easiest on you while still getting more infomation out of it.
I'm leaning toward #1, but either as the raw DVD image or as a 7z (7zs are much smaller than ZIP). But as for Sega Retro there's some magazine scan policy that I'm not sure about; ask Scarred Sun what she wants. It's great that you have this stuff saved though!
Here they are, then. Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 Makes me wish I'd saved more of them. For ROMs and some other things - but all these scans were JPEGs and didn't compress any further. But I used 7zip, anyway, because I like it. =P
