Ok, first off, you were using debug mode which pretty much removes the whole *interesting* aspect of your post since we all know that debug can potentially screw up various aspects of the game and enable you to go to areas you were never supposed to go.
Second, please learn to spell or at least run your post through a spell checker before posting...

Wow, something screwed up when you were using debug.

Doesn't get more interesting than this!

I think I've actually seen all of this before.

Basically, you Debug through Knuckles' wall, and go pretty far right, and byt the time you come back up to Sonic's area, so many of the markers have been skipped that the level doesn't know what the fuck it's doing.

Works very similarly in S&K. Both ways, up AND down.

Agreed. Debug Mode basically causes your game to mess up in ways. It also causes layer problems, as in sometimes your appear behind a layer, so you can't see Sonic. To fix this problem (if you can), you need to find a couple of rings (the 5 rings stacked on top of each other object in debug mode) and basically move through that. I did that in Sandopolis (when the pyramid building moves up and the rock boss appears) and I was no longer hidden behind the pyramid.

It's basically how you use Debug Mode. If you don't go in order of the game, weird things can happen. They aren't really bugs.

Flygon, do you want to get approved?

Nobody's going to take you remotely seriously if you type like an AIM-addicted 12-year-old.

  9. BTW, what happens if you debug your way past the first Knuckles cutscene in Mushroom Hill, close the door, go back and activate the cutscene? =P

EDIT: Bah, the cutscene still starts. I guess there's no way to pass by the cutscene trigger. Funnily enough, if you trigger it by going out of the HPZ entrance room, Knuckles kills you by smashing you with the door. =P

Now on CNN: debug mode in Sonic games allows access to hidden stuff which ordinarily would be inaccessible. In other news, water still wet, Bush still president and gravity still sucks.

I dought this will intrest anyone but has anyone noticed when you start a new game on sonic 3 (and knuckles) that at first the star on tails's plane is at first blue but when sonic goes to super sonic in the intro the star goes blue? its minor but hard to find...I just didnt get any screenshots and also if you go to knuxes aria in sonic 3 not knux (the boss fight for act 2) it acculy show the flying giant plane in water...again you need debug to see this but im only try to find stuff that might intrest people useless discoveries or not im just an everyday person that just likes finding intresting stuff, god that was long.

I agree with Tweaker, flygon, your typing is acceptable in my eyes (though not amazing), and lostgame really think you had no right to have said that.

Flygon, you might want to better present your ideas next time though and generally stuff happening in debug is glitchy so you might not want to use those as discoveries unless they're peticularly unique.

I haven't noticed it but this is probably due to the 64 colour pallete. Sonic games can only have 64 colours on screen at a time, so they might reuse sonics blue elsewhere, and when the game changes this palette entry to supersonic's colour anything using this blue palette entry will also change to the supersonic colour. Hope that makes sense ^_^

Most of those images are pretty well known and take four seconds to find.

Well, truly it's common sense. When you use debug mode, you'll end up with some flaws in the game. ;) For example, playing Death Egg Zone on Sonic 2 with debug mode. Put in a "transport" object. It will shoot you somewhere random. The backgrounds will mess up, and you'll end up dieing off the screen (I did).

Also, use the Search feature. It's another tool to make sure stuff hasn't been posted before. :)

I only just found this out but go to sound test in sonic 3 and go to sound 71...it will play the shieid sound of sonic 2 and 1...probabally left over also try sound B5 I think its unused but im not sure the sounds from sonic 1 speacal stage and that's all I could really find...btw this is from sonic 3 alone ok (btw I was in a rush when I found the unused sounds though im not 100% sure if the are used if the are sorry, this was done from a level select savestate ok)

  19. Hi, I'm new. You think that's Wierd, Who has ever Messed with debug at the launch base act 2 boss, went into a bonus and came out with huge blue Blocky code around them ? It's wierd. You can do lots of stuff with debug, I once started hydrocity, Messed with Debug and ended up falling forever. NOT dying, Just falling.
