Hey guys, I recently got lucky enough to grab the 2003 EU PC release of SADX, which I'm pretty excited about. I got the EU version, because a website I use to get pretty much all my games, CeX, was selling this for a whopping 50p, which was a deal I couldn't not take. Anyways, after dropping it in my disc drive, and flipping through all those free desktops and cursor icons, that shit delights me, I installed it over the 2 discs it came in, and smacked the big 'ol "Start Game" button. I waited for a bit, and then it told me there is a compatibility issue. I own a Windows 10 laptop, so that might be it. I tried booting it again, booting it with Disc 1 in the drive, and when that didn't work, I took to the internet, like you do. All the solutions were do to with the 2004 US PC release, and not the 2003 EU PC release. I also noticed there's not really any mod support for this release. Is there anything I can do about these issues? The answers probably really simple and I'm too dumb to notice it. :specialed:
If you just want to play the game as-is, you can just download this cracked US EXE and replace the sonic.exe file with it. If you want mods to make the game run at higher resolutions, widescreen support, and/or restore Dreamcast graphics, use this installer.
I can't really add much more to what MainMemory has said here, you filthy price pirate. (Just kidding) If you are wondering as to why SADX isn't working for you, SafeDisc retail DRM does not work on Windows 10. It is also disabled on all Windows versions Vista and newer when the KB3086255 update is installed.
Welp, a quick 2 minute download of a new .exe, and the games off like a rocket! Thank you guys so much! I'm gonna try and get some of those mods to work, so if I have anymore trouble I'll ask here again, but thank you so much!
