sorry, this, it looks too cool to pass up.
I hope you reach pending approval and never get out.
Unless you have something useful to say, stop wasting posts to rehash shit we already know about.
Well, terribly sorry bout a month bump, but it might be better than making a new topic when this one is on page 2. This is my final trial member post and I belive its been used wisley.
First update is the reborn S2 T-U-L after I held it off awhile.
The top 2 are new screens. The bottom are just for show. Casino Park 2 is going to try to be like as much of a pinball machine as it can get. The background is temporary, untill I edit the BG not to scroll. (Which I belive is done via hex, right?) I would show the palletes for Deep Jungle, Ghost Town and Desert Ruins, but its not too bright as all I got to it was Wood Zones pallete, which also killed Frozen Hill. >_>
Now enter a cleaner rom hack. Sonic Run Jump and Spin. (Get it? Stop, drop and roll? XD *bricked*)
The cleanest zone would be Airline Zone. And also the edited sprites Sonic has now is simple but neat. No, the pipe doesn't work. XD
Now Sonic Rerun has passed away. Used ESE II too much. >_> But heres what was last edited for your viewing.
Well, hope this was good enough for yall!
Damn, those screenshots looked awesome.
Remember, kids: Always make backups!
Finally decided to make that last post, eh? =P Anyhow, that's looking quite hot, if I do say so myself. Airline in particular looks quite creative. Heres hoping you get approved!
Rofl. Found a backup. Did some cleaning up to Eggman Base Act 2. Pinball Track gets some new layout at the beginning for now.
Got bored and did some pallete, layout and tile editing in SonED and Hivepal to Emerald Hill. Also am editing Casino Night to beta form with my bare hands. So I don't have to redo the collisions. And plus I didn't want to interfere with the backgrounds scrolling till I can figure out how to edit it via hex. Also editing WFZ for more boredom. One screen for now. :P
For Eggman Base, try adding more than all red for the background. Other than that, it's awesomeo.
Hmm, I could try, but you must have also complained to SEGA about the full green bg then. :P
And now a question. How can I remove the automatic warp pipes in Scrap Brain Zone Act 2 with Translhextion and change the "Sonic Team Presents" on the opening?
This looks reletively promising. More screens please!
Alright then. I did some more pallete editing. I like how PTZs mountians came out. Note the Sonic 2 Beta level select and new ring pallete.
Marble looks pretty good, especially the lava. Spring yard, decent. I still love Green Hill's palette. orange and green do go well together, just look at a freshly pulled carrot. =P
New palletes, and Lost World is now Big Freeze.
Pretty nice all around, there.
Pretty cool stuff. Reminds me of a couple palettes I made for SLZ before, but they turned out bad because I had accidentally reversed the shading. :P
My latest Sonic 2 hack, (no name) and will be my new pernament Sonic 2 hack.
Bluff Bay Zone:
Dusty Dunes(still in work):
Should I stay with the GHZ totem poles or change it to something else?
Gigantic Gate Zone:
Thanks ShadowFire for the rom with the lost zones in it, when I tried to attach the .ips myself, I had a mess up. =\
That DHZ looks a lot like the one in Sonic 2 Long Version...
Whatever happened to SHB, anyway?
Fuckin' nice Labyrinth Zone palette. I had tears in my eyes when I saw it. It's just that damn likable. I also see that you're going with the Sonic CD/3D/Chaotix style level names, eh? =P
Oh, and Aurochs, the Desert Zone was made by Esrael. SHB has made a hell of a different version of it. As for where he is, he's around. =P
Actually Shadow Fire, Esrael ported the tiles for the desert zone from a fan game, he didn't draw them
I think it's only because of these 2 monitors hidden in the sand. Pretty nice to see this very small and simple idea somewhere else.
Yeah, actually this "Esrael" version you can see everywhere is good, but slighty outdated at this time I speak. =P
I'm around, just hidden. =P
As for the topic, yes, it looks promising. I love Marble zone and Spring Yard zone pallets.
I knew what I meant. I had too much easter chocolate and was on at late night.
