Here is a fun little game. Can you find Sega related things in Google maps? Sega's cultural heyday was very much the 90s, and Google street view only goes back to 2007, so finding remnants of Sega's glory days can be challenging. Here is a store I used to frequent, and I remember one of the window shutters had a Dreamcast logo. You can still just barely make it out in street view in 2007. It was replaced by an image of the PS3 in 2009. https://www.google.com/maps/@-34.42...2e0!5s20071101T000000!7i3328!8i1664?entry=ttu This next one doesn't count, as it had no Sega references, but it's a bittersweet/amusing image of a video rental store I used to hire games from. "Here to stay" in 2015 (or maybe not). Spoiler
This is still like there today, although it's supposed to be getting converted into a Weatherspoons pub local nimbys have been holding up proceedings for the last few years, so maybe it will survive a little longer. I used to browse in here in the early 90s, they were a national chain and used to have multi-page colour adverts in most of the UK mags at the time. I'm not sure exactly when they closed down (just a long time ago), but that sign probably dates back to the 90s. Edit: A quick search shows the company closed up in 2005 (not sure about this branch), and someone's wrote an article on them.
I just entered "SEGA" into Google maps https://www.google.com/maps/place/SEGA+GAMES/@2.1000426,99.8256776,3a,75y,52.79h,90t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sSSlmjnMpoIjn0l5BCjSGmw!2e0!6shttps://streetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com/v1/thumbnail?panoid=SSlmjnMpoIjn0l5BCjSGmw&cb_client=search.gws-prod.gps&w=211&h=120&yaw=52.787136&pitch=0&thumbfov=100!7i16384!8i8192!4m14!1m7!3m6!1s0x302da1599a6320a3:0x1fbb6aff3fc2285a!2sSEGA+GAMES!8m2!3d2.1000979!4d99.8257453!16s/g/11h8fff_zv!3m5!1s0x302da1599a6320a3:0x1fbb6aff3fc2285a!8m2!3d2.1000979!4d99.8257453!16s/g/11h8fff_zv?entry=ttu
