Genesis/Mega Drive first model SFX recordings

    I'll try to record some SFX using the phone output of my PAL-M Mega Drive. (The PAL-M is the NTSC system with a diferent color encoding.)
    But I know that the volume controller distort some high frequencies. =/

    EDIT: My Mega Drive 1 has "HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS" on it too.

    If the modem port you are talking about is the DIN-8 output:

    No, that's the AV port. All MD1s have that. The modem port has a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D-subminiature">D-sub</a> connector.

    Ah, I have the #1 port too.
