Mercury: thanks! Kharen: She was in a Sonic 1 character replacement hack but I lost the topic where I posted it, I guess I can provide you a rom if you want. And yes, everything was drawn by me except the top of the water that I took from Azure Lake but it's bound to change in the future. Sonic Boom: thanks, the three is not recycled, I drew it by referencing one of the trees from Knuckles Chaotix, but I didn't ripped it, it was hand drawn on Photoshop. The only thing I recycled from that picture is the top of the water but hopefully I'll change that in the future steveswede: yeah, I should do that, but still I wanted to know anyways, and thank you very much
Nitpick: the ground is remarkably flat, there. I suppose, if that's what you want to go with, then fine, but I'd probably vary it a bit on the y-axis to make it look more rugged.
thanks XD it would be basically a Sonic fangame...well, my idea is to be in Sonic's world, only with different characters and power ups. And add a couple of new movements to the characters, but in essence I'd like it to be a Sonic fangame basically. And thanks for your interest too glad you liked the art ^^
Looks good, it's something I would like to keep my eyes on. Feel free to post in the SonicGDK topic if you need feedback or help.
Very early, everything is subject to change, it's incomplete, yada yada yada. Comments and criticism appreciated!
When there's more progress, I'l make my own thread and stop shitting up this thread, I swear! Shorter video this time, WIP etc. Feedback appreciated.
The metallic launch base texture with the green grass reminds me of Mecha Green Hill Zone; I like it.
Might as well show off something from what I've been working on. I've been working on the foundations of a Digimon side-scrolling game similar in nature to Digimon Battle Spirit, but as a Metroidvania rather than a fighting game. The movement mechanics and abilities for Agumon are fully implemented. The base mechanics are simple due to the Wonderswan/GBA's two-button implementation, though I gave the secondary attack and the dash their own buttons in this instance. My intended list of playable characters is: Agumon, Gabumon, Veemon, Wormmon, Patamon, Gatomon, Guilmon, Terriermon and Renamon. I have complete sprite sets for all of them except Guilmon and Wormmon (though there's the Extra Guilmon sheet I have that can be re-paletted to fit the normal Guilmon, though that seems to be more time-consuming than it seems, due to the eyes). I'm also kinda hoping there'd be someone who could make me a custom set of sprites for Masaru as well, but I'm not expecting that to happen.
