Sonic 3 & Knuckles 3D? Sonic 3 Fan Remix? Sonic 3: Episode Metal? That model looks absolutely amazing. I really hope it gets a good game to go with it. However, the chestplate bugs me a little. Didn't the original have some sort of laser/charging port? Like in his fight with knuckles he would shoot out energy balls from his chest? Unless of course the chestplate slides up to reveal it, in which case it would be super cool.
Take a look at the sprites. His chest plate rotates down and reveals the chest port where he shoots from.
Multimedia Fusion, actually. (You're probably confusing it with GM's old logo, the red ball with the hammer in the middle.)
That I am. :v: Been awhile since I played a Game Maker game or a MMF2 game without a custom logo. Anyway, the lights look like placeholders for Chaos Emeralds?
The program I'm using for Sonic Neon is MMF2. The engine is Sonic Worlds Delta. I'm assuming MMF2 is the best and most stable program for exporting Sonic Worlds Delta out to .exe hence the choice. I learned how to create fangames on TGF/MMF1. It's therefore the program (or sequel to the program) that I at least have some degree of skill in using. As for those neon spheres being placeholders for emeralds. They're not. The spheres are the powerups you collect. As I stated with the screenshot the entire premise of the game is that you collect every colour of the rainbow to; well that's a secret that I wanted to save for the demo release. I'm thinking of making a new thread about Sonic Neon when I have completed more work. Thanks for everyone's kind words so far. It's uplifting to get positive feedback. Anymore thoughts on the screenshot?
I've made a relatively simple Metroid-like map in Construct 2, which features map positioning of the player, indicating which rooms have been explored, and automatic creation of the map on runtime. Granted, it's kinda missing more advanced stuff like saving the map, special locations (like save rooms and the like) and other things, but it's a start.
Officially announcing it here as well. Come Summer 2013, I'm going to be starting Mecha Madness the 3D animated series on my Youtube channel. Its going to be an entire animated series released episodically on what would have been in the game. I'm sure the videos may be hosted at other sonic sites and what have you but there's where the meat of the action is going to be taking place. I'm starting to animate and rig the characters now so that when I'm off in the summer, I'll have the time to begin some series animation work. Mecha Madness will be my final goodbye to Sonic fandom because its what has kept me in the actual fandom for so long.
Hi everyone :D I didn't want to make a new topic of my project, and I saw this one and my eyes shone haha well this is what I've been doing this summer (here its summer): These sonic sprites are an idea for a fan game. There you can see generations' classic sonic (right) and original classic sonic (left). Sorry if I made language mistakes :P By the way, Streakthunderstorm, that three-dimensional mecha sonic is like... perfect. I congratulate you if you did it hahah
So...um...guys...I've been juggling/playing around with something lately...and I've been wondering... Would you guys like and/or play a fangame featuring my original the character do not steal that looked like this? It is a veeeeeery early work in progress and mock up for the first stage being called Aurora Lake, and I'd really, really love to use AeStHete once it's being released... I will understand if it's not a good idea, so I'm kinda asking for opinions now before I continue working on this. Some of you might remember that I made a hack with her a long time ago and wanted to make something out of it, but now instead of a hack, a fangame. So yeah... that's it. Let me know if it's a good idea or not. EDIT: fixed typos :v:
What caught my eye actually wasn't the character itself, although it doesn't look too bad (what hack was she from? I wanna see it.), but the other graphics in that picture. Are they ripped, or did you make them all yourself? They look amazingly nice.
Scratch any art that's being recycled (like the tree there), unless it's being used for concept purposes, and chalk up a "yes" vote from me. I love your choice of colors there, really sets the mood.
You don't need anyone's approval to do what you want to do and never take it to heart if anyone critiques your work. So far your work looks great and I look forward to seeing what you make in the future.
