Mystic Temple Zone Temple Ruins Zone Mountain Top Temple Zone (bit long) Nature Ruins Zone Stone Forest Zone Great Gardens Zone
Why not? I'll help too. Faraway Ruin Zone Marble Valley Zone Lost Village Zone White Ruin Zone (assuming there's lava) Lava Temple Zone
OSHI- I need to change the information about my hack. It hasn't been called Roman Ruins for a long time. It's now Aztec Armoury. Likely to change again. =P
Still working on the tiles. Mind you these are mock up. However, which one do you think I should stick with. A B C D E F
Would it be possible to make the mountains black/red like you have them but the sky a very dark blue? I think that would work the best in differentiating FG/BG and still maintain the theme.
@Azu It was a toss up between A and D and I think D looks the best. A has too much brown. EDIT: Also the bushes between the fern trees and the mountains could do with being the same colour as the fern trees.
Well, since I'm not really hacking any more, I've decided to work on some new stuff. I started a few new projects, and the idea that I've decided to run with is called "8Bit Man Lost In 16Bit Land". To say the least its a pain in the rear when working with restrictions of an 8bit and 16 bit game. But any ways here are some screens:
Yeah I'll either add more colors, as I previously had, or just make it 8bit man lost in 8bit world :\. Which will win: Laziness or the want to make it look 16bit? No one knows...
I like this one. The sky color and the deep sunset hue on the mountain range emphasize that it's a fire level. Background E makes the whole level look like a remastered Marble Zone, but this one lends a more unique appearance to the level. Love the combination of Hydrocity and Emerald Hill, by the way! The color choices are top-notch!
