    It's OK. =P

I was doing a similar concept for my hack, that level turned into TTZ:

The FG ground tiles and grass are original, along with the leaves on tree, the trunk and a part of the BG were reused from other games.

    being an asshole =P
Fix the E in SCORE and I'll be happy =P

Actually, isn't that specific piece of the HUD uncompressed, pretty much as an exception to everything else? (may be because it gets overwritten by debug mode, as the HUD is loaded into VRAM at boot time and that one could change depending if the game starts in debug or non-debug mode).

The E and the numbers are uncompressed.
I've asked Hitaxas so many times to fix the fucking E yet he won't listen.

I think I'll keep it like that until the release, so every screenshot will tick you off. :eng101:

No, but really it's just out of laziness, I'd rather work on everything else, then fix some of the graphical stuff.

It's better than last time, but there are still quite a bit of broken tiles. D:

^ This. It looks like a lot of fun when it's played correctly, but it seems like it's full of places where you can phase through "walls" or fall at unexpected angles. Copy some of the oddly-placed chunks onto pieces that you haven't used, then tweak these copies to make pieces that are solid where they need be and have proper edges. You look like you're in pretty deep, so you'd probably benefit from getting Hill Top and Emerald Hill to use separate art and mappings, in order to open up more chunks to work with. When you run out of chunks, you can always make a "fake" tile alignment by making an object read from the level art and placing it over any bad alignments.

Of course, you could always tweak the level layout, too. For example, that last loop would function better if it was shaped like the ones from Hill Top, and those chunks do function correctly in Emerald Hill.

EDIT: Also, object 74 is your friend. Just don't abuse him.

I had planned to give Hill Top Zone its own art from the beginning, so I'll replace the chunks that make up the HTZ specific pieces in order to clean some stuff up.

And now that I think about it, the HTZ style loop would work, I just didn't want a second one because I have one in the level already. Oh well. For the sake of neatness, I might as well.

Thanks to the latest updates to the Sonic CD level manager - updates which enable editing the rotating palette and the start position, Green Hill Zone is now that much closer to completion. Literally, all that is left for me to do is place objects and figure out how to make loops work. Oh, I suppose fixing the graphics on the objects, but since I'm not sure what causes that, I can only imagine that the trial-and-error process that I'll end up using to even put all the objects will also help to sort things out.

Once I'm done with Green Hill Zone, the other levels should follow shortly thereafter. The hardest part (aside from deciding which Sonic 1 level corresponds with what Sonic CD level) is figuring out which object numbers spawn what objects.

I like both of them, great job! My personal favorite is AIZ1's palette.
