    I don't know if you would consider this any better, but the random pixels all around Sonic was bugging me enough to mess with it. I messed with all the shading on Sonic, but mainly the head, the face, and the shoes.

    The art imports fine, but the pallet does not. I think you may have used too many colors. =/
    Still, a great screen, but unusable as of now.

    If you want to use 30 colours, you either need to split the image into two layers of 15 colours each, or use different palettes on a per-tile basis (which I'm assuming wouldn't work with the image as it is).

    I think you should make the mouth smaller and black. But it's a lot better, still.

    I wish I knew how to port screens from image files :x

    It's still WiP so I won't bother with details, just point out shit.

    Very repetitive foreground. Obvious grid like appearance. Absolutely no depth in art, especially in the interiors. For a hill, it's pretty flat. Colors could use more work.

    Well... I don't really know how I could explain.
    Your level layout is too "small".
    Try to make wider areas, more running fields, multiple paths... Having to jump all the time on small 16x16 blocs isn't really funny.

    Well I did say in the video that the layout was conceptual, meaning it's just more of a show-off to see how everything fits together. I'll keep what you said in mind for later on.

    That level reminds me of a project I attempted to do a couple years back; a 16-BIT version of Sonic Chaos. But it seems you and rika_chou have already beat me to the punch. Then again, I was just lazy. Great concept either way, and nice use of the Zero theme from Mega Man X.

    Soooo just doing a simple layout hack and....

    it's not just the graphics either, instead of making sonic run off and end the level like normal, it just glitches out and "teleports" sonic forward through objects and tiles.

    You probably made the level shorter than it was, so it doesn't expect the end to be there.
