    So that hack I posted a few weeks ago in the mini-hack thread? Well, the project has snowballed into something bigger, but not quite far enough along to warrant its own thread:

    The pixel art of Sonic on the title screen is by DarkTremor100, who has given me permission to use this in my hack!

    Yeah, that art looks good, but those lines on the sole of the shoe are just so inconsistent, I guess it's because the art has been quantised and scaled, but still... I wonder if they could be retouched.

    Ahahahaha, nice! I love this approach!

    Might I suggest, the low plane pillar near the bottom left, perhaps make that water colour, the FG ones make sense, but I would imagine Sonic being water colours in front of the BG ones would disillusion.

    Perhaps you could setup a 16 pixel width set of animated tiles, and animate the BG pillar waving like the BG does.

    Don't think I've shown off any of this here yet, in recent weeks I've been making a decent bit of progress towards making an SHC demo for Sonic Forces Re-imagined, featuring extended level design for Sunset Heights, Aqua Road, and Arsenal Pyramid. Still pretty WIP but I've gotten all the new sections and stuff roughly playable and presentable:





    I'm also currently planning on including updated versions of the stages from the previous SHC demo with improved graphics and proper terrain loading so they don't run like crap anymore, although I'm not quite sure if I'll have enough time to implement them so they may end up appearing in the next update to the main mod instead.

    For the first time I've edited Polly Mt. 1 palette. This game is gonna have total overhaul graphics-wise, because levels like Polly Mt. 2 with silhouette sprites are a big no no...
