    Oh hell yes. Honestly surprised this hasn't been done before. Port the sparks and after images and you're golden. + - Or should I say you're flashing rainbow technicolor seizure.

    Well forgive my presumption, I thought I followed hacks closely enough that I would've known about this, but it seems I haven't. Good work to you too Clownacy.

    An update based on Cinossu's suggestion... because frankly, I liked 1 and 2 the least anyhow... and the combination of the two is better IMO... so, I'm curious guys. For this mini-hack, 1, 2, or 3?

    I've also had this in the older copies of my hack (from about 2007-now), before the new source rewrite. I'd post a video up, but it's redundant. lol

    That jump dash looks a little strong, but otherwise that's awesome work man.

    The dash is ported directly from Sonic 3 and Knuckles, so it's not any stronger or weaker, but the problem is that whenever Sonic does a hyper dash, the camera will sometimes shift the opposite of his direction for about a second, then it will shift back to normal. I'm still trying to figure why it does that.

    It's doing that because when you're moving right and you jump and do a hyper dash, Sonic's previous positions are still to the left of him.

    Whenever using that particular camera effect (including the spindash), you should reset the previous position array to Sonic's current position (only once, when it starts).

    I did have the code for resetting that. The problem was that there was a bug in the code. It's now fixed.

    For me I think #3 gives the most convincing effect, and it keeps the tones vivid enough that I can make out each object more easily. #1 and #2 have skies that appear much darker.

    If #1 didn't look so dark I'd probably prefer it though.

    I've decided to continue my old hack and now, I have a basic Metroid level (Kraid's Lair):



    Note that the sprites for Sonic are just a placeholder.

    Neat. It looks kinda like a sewer motif which is rarely seen in Sonic games. Layout's kinda claustrophobic though
