Neat sprites though. Gotta love Sonic's face in the falling down sprite, he looks scared.

 

Since you have wall jump in, you could have it so there's only walls on the side, and a moving platform in the center. That'd be a hell of a challenge.

 

You read my mind XD That was put there before walljump. Having a bit of problem with a wall though at the start of an experimtal layout...

The backgrounds look very detailed and I like the color scheme (very Sonic CD-ish).

Crystal Egg? I'd like to see that. :D

Played around with Flicky Turncoat DX again.



Setting the stage for the boss. (though I haven't started act 3 yet, at least I finished the layout for act 2, minus the asm edits involved to make it work.)
Ristar's Sonata curtain is obviously a inspiration.

What you can't hear is the replaced music, which for now is Sonic 4's Splash Hill Zone. Also, running this from hard drive, this is the Demo engine, running Mykonos Act 1.

Been experimenting with lamppost art in Sonic 1.

And then the used lamppost ball uses the yellows from the ring pallet of the zone.

 

that lamppost looks really cute and original, me likes :D

 

I'm not sure, I think the star circle is too big, maybe shrinking it will make it look better.

 

I think it's the fact that it just looks stuck on. The shading is different to the rest of the post.

 

Try getting rid of the red ring, and little black sections around the star, so it's basically a white star on a blue background?

 

Was thinkign that but thought it'd be a bit too generic...

 

Something about that sky is bothering me... =/
The rest looks nice though~

 

Sky was made with an autumny orange sky in mind...gonna work on fixing the red outline a bit later (add a bit more shading perhaps? Darker blue shade outline?)

The main art for it was done by FeliciaVal, and I tweaked the spikes a bit and move the hand to a more suitable position. Thanks again FeliciaVal ^^

 

I don't know so much about the starpost, but the rest of the custom art being used for said hack is looking spiffy. Personally I'd say that the lot of this stuff you (and FeliciaVal) made would be cool for a hack that imitates Sonic Adventure.

In fact that'd be a really neat hack there: an attempt to 'Genesize' Sonic Adventure. I'd fund it! :specialed:

 

Then might I suggest desaturating the sky and making the clouds glow orange?

Grey sky here, clouds being orange, shaded with purple.

Of course, it might be better to change the art to make the clouds light from below; sorta like I tried with the clouds for Spectra Valley in S-Factor:

Just do a better job than I did.

 

I feel like doing an attempt for a sunset background now :P
