Freedom Engine (2D Sonic Engine on Unity)

    Yikes, no wonder. Might actually go with your 2D physics in Godot instead in that case.

    You'll have problems with it as well, I didn't really made that Godot project to be used in any fan game and it have a lot of bugs.

    Well. Damn.

    Granted, I'm not actually planning a fangame, but goddamn is it frustrating to find out that there are no fully functional 2D Sonic physics implementations in any "modern" engine, and I think you're the only one who has made a properly working 2.5D implementation, outside of maybe Dash Engine in UE4, but I cannot for the life of me get that to work because of its weird build system not working.

    Then again, I think it might be best to stick to 2.5D with Freedom Engine (or Dash Engine in UE4 if I can ever get it to work) for prototyping what I'm planning and move over to a proper 2D engine later, for a bunch of reasons.
