That is excellent! I've been wondering about this myself (though I'm more interested in doing it via the cart slot if it's possible).
It is certainly possible from the cartslot, I just prefer integrated solutions :P I am fixing a small bug in my design, things should be happening quite soon :D
Connecting this thing that would be used on a SMS into a Mega Drive. The MD docs actually do say that connection is possible, so it shouldn't be all that surprising really.
He's adding the YM2413 to his Mega Drive. The YM2413 is used in Japanese Master Systems to get FM sounds. On Smspower there is a guy who sells FM expansion boards based on the YM2413 for European and American Master Systems, but Tiido is bringing this one step forward. He's now going to get FM sounds directly from his Mega Drive while in SMS mode (for example with a Power Base Converter).
