Level layout: - SonED v(what's the latest version?) *Win32* *DOS??*-- ?? I forget ?? Sound and music: - Porter v(what's the latest version?) *Win32* -- S2 commercial - Sonic QX v0.31 beta (build 15) *Win32* -- S2 beta - Sonic Sound Editor v0.02 beta *DOS* -- S1 revision 00 and 01, S2 commercial Special stage: - Ultra Maze-O-Matic System *DOS* -- S1 revision 00 - SSE v1.00 (build 2) *Win32* -- S3K Misc: - Sonic Display Editor v0.70 beta *DOS* -- S1 revision 00 and 01, S2 commercial That's the main idea. List utilities and what the latest versions of those utilities are and what they modify "specifically". I'll be adding some that I know about, and hopefully with your help there will be ten times more than what I'll have. Also, feel free to correct anything I have 'so far'. This is intended to help people new to the community.
For "Misc.", I recommend the addition of my very own Sonic 1 Boss Hitcount Editor. Or, to give you a quick and easy copy and paste... - Sonic 1 Boss Hitcount Editor v1.1 *Win32* -- S1 revision 00 At least, I THINK it's revision 00. It's whichever one has the serial "GM 00001009-00."

Rika, KENS is not a compression program. :-/ *shot* :D To be exact, KENS is the compression library, available for everybody to use in their programs, and TSDC (The Sega Data Compressor) is the compression tool, that uses KENS. Now, to answer the initial question: Compression: The Sega Data Compressor V2.1 BTW, this last version supports the Sonic 2 Sound Driver decompression. Well, I wrote about it in the TSDC/KENS topic, but it's on the second page now.

I don't mean to interrupt-post on an important thread, but Stealth has moved. He now has his webpage at http://stealth.hapisan.com/ His SonED and Archive pages are "Under Construction" for an indefinate amount of time, and so maybe you could put a Sonic Retro alternate link for people trying to get the program. This is archived, but I suppose it's still necessary for people trying to find SonED2, so please delete this post if it's inappropriate.
