Great job drx. No. This is something related to the background, but not for the actual scrolling effect. Look at $C526 to find it. There is almost nothing new there.

The H-Scroll as you say is at $C526 too. The thing at $C28A is here only to set the cameras at the right values when the level begin. The scroll code itself is at $C526. I don't see where you can find another background scrolling effect with this. EDIT: For more info, the automatic scrolling is made by incrementing values in RAM every frame. I think the H-scroll when you move is made by incrementing values in RAM according to the foreground camera position.
So, only the camera start position was changed in Wood Zone? I remember some people were able to pull a bug where Tails died but kept bouncing if a spring was below him, so I guess this could be related? Perhaps they forgot to fix it for the second player?

Well, as I see it, LOst has a general hatered towards Sonic-Cult, and if you look at drx's link, it goes to SCARZ. So my guess it that he hates anything, even info and chit-chat, on SCARZ.
