DC x Sonic Partnership (Sonic/Justice League comic in March 2025, more coming into 2026)

I wonder if Eggman will factor into this, and how he’d do so. The Ragna Rock does have big Death Egg vibes, but according to everything presented so far, Darkseid was only able to perceive and travel to Sonic’s universe after the Ragna Rock was completed, and I don’t really think he’d need anything from Eggman. I know people have criticised the frequency of Eggman teaming up with the heroes of late (I really don’t think it’s that bad myself), but it’d be a nice change of pace from the Archie crossovers for him to be at odds with the other villain from the off and actually working with the heroes and the Justice League, albeit for selfish reasons.

Or maybe he’ll straight up throw hands with Darkseid

EDIT: I’ve since seen solicits for #4 which indicates Eggman will be part of the picture and antagonistic, unclear whether he’s allied with Darkseid or not.

 

I can also see them just regular brainwashed like in the past. I can see Wonder Woman or even Amy getting mind controlled to join the Female Furies.

Saying that I hope Amy gets to fight them.

I also hope Sonic gets to meet Lightray, and Knuckles meeting Big Barda.

 

Is there no mention in IDW at all?

 

Nope, no mention of her at all.

Who knows if they'll bring her up in the upcoming Shadow one shot.

 

DC X Sonic #2 released, feels just as rushed and cramped as the last issue. Also similarly feels like another montage for the most part, with DC villians just showing up without context for a panel or two again.

 

Sonic and Flash banter is just so entertaining, worth the crossover for that alone

 

Preview for #3 is out.
+ - we see Silver use the Lantern ring, but I noticed all his usual gear has been swapped for more basic gloves. Is this implying an incompatibility between the technologies? We probably won't find out.

I read all the pages offered before and after that. That one doesn't really help explain the part I'm questioning about since it's an instantaneous swap between panels (which I don't really like from a storytelling perspective but stuff like this is par for the course in this miniseries it seems)
+ - what I'm saying is that Silver's bracelets which are what gives him his Psychokinetic abilities are gone when he's in the full Lantern outfit, so I'm wondering if that's something intentional so he can't double up on relatively OP power sets.  

 

+ - Silver's powers are innate, not from the bracelets - you can see them in use on the hammer page. I think the instantaneous swap is just a product of how the lantern rings work.
