DC x Sonic Partnership (Sonic/Justice League comic in March 2025, more coming into 2026)

I was very invested in this until I saw Ian Flynn was writing it, considering he's increasingly grown hit or miss since the first Archie reboot.

Fingers crossed this turns out good but my expectations aren't high.

 

Ian being the one who's writing it is a plus for me.

 

The amazing thing about human beings is that we all have our own beliefs and preferences.

If Ian Flynn writing it is appealing to you then cool. That has nothing to do with me.

 

True. Which is why I said it's a plus for me. I wasn't talking about anyone else.

Not only did Ian salvage the Archie Sonic comics when it was crumbling under the weight of Pender's Echidna OC's, but he also managed to weather the comic through a forced reboot caused by an absurd lawsuit. I know I'd give up if I was in his place dealing with all this stressful bullshit. For that, he has my deepest respect, and I look forward to see him working on more Sonic stuff. Archie Sonic was a joy to read for me while he worked on it (and I'm still sad about the fact that the very last cancelled issues was supposed to feature Honey).

 

Why did you quote me then instead of making your own post?

In the same way, you quoted a specific part of my post and not the whole thing I'm not going to read anything you wrote either.

 

Why do you always do this? Just don't reply man.

 

*shrugs* I didn't quote any of the people who said they were excited about Flynns involvement to say how I wasn't interested in this, as much, with him at the helm. Don't see why its fair that someone felt the need to do that to me when my opinion is just as valid as the people who are excited.

But alright I won't drag this on any further.

It's both hilarious and sad that this was the better one of the two Spawn/Sonic crossovers.

 

That first shirt looks pretty dope.

 

Sonic has been preparing for the role of the Flash since 2020.

Leaving lightning behind him when he runs is part of that. I don't remember anything like that in video games. There were blue traces in Sonic Rush series and games with Boost mechanics, though.
In any case, the Flash had not been surrounded by lightning either (until the 1990's).

 

Nah, Sonic had never been had them before the movie. The element he has always been associated with is wind. I believe there was even classic-era Japanese material that likened him to it (even if he didn't start manipulating wind until the 3d games). One could make a case of even Tails having more of an electricity background than him (in Heroes and Battle).
