DC x Sonic Partnership (Sonic/Justice League comic in March 2025, more coming into 2026)

My best guess is that those Movies led to making Sonic into the Mainstream again, hell I can actually say kids are wearing Sonic stuff to school. (Well if a 10-year old cousin is an acceptable source anyway!)

 

As a teacher I see Sonic shit all the time, more than when I was a kid

 

So I guess this is actually a whole ass crossover comic with Ian at the helm of writing. I gotta admit that's really fucking neato.

 

Maybe they'll turn it into a movie. It's lasting to 2026, after all...

Amy as Wonder Woman is pretty weak, but expected on some level, especially since they seem to be picking Justice League equivalents especially. Knuckles superman actually makes a lot of sense. Tails Cyborg, okay. Sonic Flash... sure.

 

As fine as I am with Sonic being the Flash, and I understand SEGA likely doesn't want their characters depicted as villains, I really wanted to see Sonic in Joker's role. Like some twisted opposite reality world.

Please let Wonder Rose hammer the truth out of people, Hal Silver find some use in the fridge, Kal-elckles have loving (alive (and also Pender-less)) parents, and Batdow use guns as a part of his no-killing policy.

I'm not really feeling this. I don't particularly dislike DC, but I'm not interested in seeing the characters in existing superhero roles. I would've preferred to see the two sets of characters interact with each other. Sonic and the Flash race, Knuckles and Superman bond over their shared life experiences, Shadow and Batman brood together.

The costumes are neat, at least, and I appreciate Knuckles as Superman.

 

So if we get Metal Sonic he'll be Reverse Flash?

*cue the "It Was Me, Barry!" meme but with Sonic and Metal in Barry and Zoom's places*

 

I love it. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
